Brand new Brake / Clutch master cylinder

 

These will bolt on to all Triumph Herald, Vitesse, Spitfire & GT6 models

with the rare exception of cars fitted with 'dual-circuit' brakes (1980 UK Spitfires & some other export models where dual-circuit brakes were mandatory)

Factory sealed, so won’t have perished rubbers or furred bores like some ‘NOS’ (= ‘new-OLD-stock’) cylinders. 


 

They will need the pushrod fitting from your old unit*, otherwise they are a straight swap

(I'm happy to do this for you (free of charge) but you'll have to send me your old unit & pay for the additional postage cost if you want your old unit back)

Alternatively I have a VERY LIMITED stock of used pushrods – if you want me to supply & fit a one of these to your new cylinder a refundable deposit of £20 will be required (this will be refunded upon receipt of your old cylinder with pushrod (again, you’ll have to pay for the additional postage))

Specification:

The bore is 0.750” - Standard cars have 0.625” bore clutch & brake master cylinders except most 2ltr cars which have 0.700” bore brake master cylinders:

•       In theory - 0.750” will push 20% more fluid per distance pedal travelled than a 0.625” cylinder (or approximately 7% more than a 0.700” cylinder);

•       In practice - good for shifting that little bit more fluid to that marginal clutch or brakes, or just for a firmer pedal feel - I use these on the brakes & clutches on my standard Vitesse & Heralds as well as my 'fast-road' Herald & Spitfires (I have standard brakes & clutch on my (standard) Herald & Vitesse but practically it means not pumping to near the floor when needed most (& a clutch bite that is no longer in the carpet!))
