"A great and rare pendant from 1963 by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce, the 'Tornado'. Martinelli Luce is mostly known for their famous lamps such as the 'Serpente', the 'Mushroom' and the 'Pipistrello' by Gae Aulenti. This pendant, the Tornado 1170 can be seen as the Italian answer to the succes of the Danish lighting industry in this era. A succesfull answer if you ask us as the result is a beautiful pendant that gives a great light and where the bulb is nicely covered from many  angles"
