Our quality BL UV bulbs have an average rated life of 9000 Hours, beware of unbranded cheaper versions as these can only have 2000 - 3000 Hours life. UVA light is the most effective way to attract flying insects, such as flies, moths and mosquitoes. 

These premium quality UVBrite® lamps are produced by the same manufacturer as many leading brand lamps so you know you are buying quality and reliability. They use the same glass tube supplier as Philips, so the bulbs have the same or even better ultraviolet output and longer working life. Designed specifically for use with many types of electric fly and mosquito killers or zappers, for both residential and commercial use. Our Fluorescent BL UV Lamps use a special glass layer that transmits ultraviolet light in a spectral band at a peak wavelength of 368nm to effectively attract all species of flying insects both in daylight and night time.

Please note: there are many of this type of lamp on the market which work at 365nm or 370nm wavelength, these are not as effective as our UVBrite® brand, offering 368nm which match the eye sensitivity of the housefly.

UVBrite® T5 and T8 BL UV Lamps are a direct replacement for many types of insect killers and zappers such as ProZap, Flymatic and Xterminate. They are suitable for twist fit lamp holders only.
