Stratamed Advanced Wound Dressing - 5g

Stratamed is a self-drying gel that forms a full contact wound dressing to speed up the healing process and minimise abnormal scaring. Stratamed is the first film-forming silicone wound dressing for use on open wounds and compromised skin. Stratamed improves the visible outcome of treatment and provides symptomatic relief.

Stratamed may also be used in conjunction with invasive scar management options to improve overall results, including surgical excision and resuturing, intralesional steroid injections, laser treatments and pressure garments.

Stratamed is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin. Stratamed may be used on infants, during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Directions

Ensure that the affected skin or wound is clean. Pat dry as much excess exudate or wound fluid from the wound as possible prior to gel application. Stratamed should be applied once daily or twice daily to exposed areas. Once dry Stratamed can be covered with sunscreem, cosmetics, pressure garments or casts. On damaged skin or wounds requiring a seconday dressing - Apply a very thin layer of Stratamed then cover with the seconday dressing. Drying is not necessary. Stratamed should be reapplied when changing the secondary dressing or checking wound progress or as advised by your physician. For best results Stratamed should be maintained in continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day/7 days a week). If Stratamed has been removed by washing it should be reapplied.


Warning

For External use only. Stratamed should not be placed in contact with the eyes. Stratamed should not be applied over other skin treatments without the advice of your physician. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your physician. Not suitable for wet, highly exudative, tunnelling wounds or third degree burns. Should your wound show signs of infection or fail to heal, consult your physician. Keep out of reach of children. Always read the label. Follow the directions for use.
