Postage I always try to keep postage costs to the minimum, which I realise keep increasing, but if you bid on items, I take it that you're accepting these.   I take time trying to make sure all items reach you in the same condition they leave me ie  securely packaged with if necessary several layers of packing materials.

I will always try to post out to you next day though I suggest it may occasionally be two working days. I always get a Post Office Proof of Posting certificate. If at all worried or it is a valuable item, do ask for Recorded Delivery  - large letters £3.40 extra (up to 750g) or small parcels £4.10 extra 750g - 1kg £7.95 extra (1kg - 2kg) in the UK so long as you know someone is in at home or ask for alternative address for postal delivery.

and £5.40 + £8.00 Additional Compensation for overseas (AIR MAIL ONLY) .... no signed for delivery for surface mail. 

I am a professional bookdealer with a long-established business. I am very careful with my descriptions so that my customers can avoid disappointments. When present, dustwrappers are always described, and often protected with a clear non-adhesive cover. We enjoy personal friendly contact with our customers:

Non-UK buyers I will mail you as soon as possible with both Airmail and Surface postal charges (or just Airmail if it's a very light item) - please don't pay until we've communicated on this unless I have quoted a price in the listing which I usually do for Europe airmail.

Airmail takes between three and five days. 

Surface mail to the USA, Australia, etc, should take 4 to 6 weeks, 

and is obviously a lot cheaper, but please be aware that it can occasionally take as long as 12 weeks
