1940's High School Annual The Oracle in top condition, with terrific photographs and text  about the young women and men, including faculty, activities, sports, humor, and candids. With  some neatly applied classmates inscriptions.

One great feature is that this yearbook Includes New York Giants superstar Frank Gifford in his senior year. In this yearbook he is pictured with his senior class, three times on the varsity football team, twice on varsity basketball, and with the Campus Guardians. Includes three nice head and shoulders close-ups of him. Scans of some of these pictures are included here.

Frank Gifford was an All American for the University of Southern California USC Trojans before starring for the New York Giants where he made 8 Pro Bowls, 6 All Pro, 1950s All Decade Team, was 1956 NFL Most Valuable Player, and 1958 Pro Bowl MVP. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was recipient of the Pete Rozelle Award, and his Giants jersey #16 is retired. After football he took the booth with Howard Cosell and Don Meredith on Monday Night Football, and guest-hosted on Good Morning America.

The yearbook has a lot of character and truly gives a good representation of the attitudes and concerns of the times. Too many great photos to even get started here.

Very Good condition hardback with tight binding and text and clean pages, with no must or mildew or missing pieces. Solid.

Wonderful rarity giving a true look at the early life and times of one of football's all time greats.
