This is an antique pocket watch fob, chatelaine fob or necklace pendant in the shape of a Bible or other book.
It is really well made and has the raised spine and book clasp too... all fine chip engraved.
It is a mourning fob with a locket style opening with a piece of glass to fit hair behind.
No maker's marks or metal marks. Gilded and really fine made. Has foliage pattern as well as a vacant cross cartouche at one side.
Suspension loop.
In collectable condition with signs of age and use wear.
One end of the "spine" of the book is bent out of shape slightly.

It measures approx. 21mm x 16mm x 4mm deep... it weighs approx.....4.9 grams.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm dia....that is just short of 7/8ths inch dia.
