This is an antique silver plated Military OFFICERS MESS table lighter which is in the shape of a flaming bomb - grenade.
I am sure you have all seen these before. This one is plain and has a hole in the very top for the wick.
No maker's marks etc.
Please note: This one does NOT stand upright very well. The weighted stuff inside is loose and can move around making it difficult for the base to be the heaviest part. The central ridge line is gaping in places. Plus, the flame top is " tight as a gnats chuff " and I cannot unscrew it from the top.

This one is sold as seen and as SPARES - REPAIR only.
It is in collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. There are a few dints in the which I have tried to photograph fully.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter.
