This KIT IS FOR the  IBT-6***  DISTRIBUTOR has a CLIP-ON STYLE CAP with **  very LOW outside CLIP area on Cap*** & points that bend to the RIGHT.   the # should be on the outside of the dist housing.

** NOT STRAIGHT TYPE POINTS  with SMALL ROTOR ***

THIS KIT is for the   IBT-6*** DIST ONLY..... CLIP DOWN CAP KIT for the Late F227,    F244  &  F245 6 Cyl Continental Flathead Engines,  

the Distributor has a tag or Number on the side of the Dist Housing.

note*** this style Dist Mounts on Top of the engine Head.  IF YOUR DIST MOUNTS ON SIDE OF ENGINE  THIS IS NOT THE KIT YOU NEED.   CONTACT ME FOR A KIT FOR YOUR NEEDS..

***NOTE-- ( some of the early F226 and F227 engines came with an Older style starts with # 111 Clip on cap that has a 3/4 inch high outside clip area on cap and eventhe dist using  the Screw Down CAP Delco - ( NOT THIS KIT).. see my other listings and mail me if needed.

Over the years many distributors have been discontinued and / or updated with a different Style one.  VERIFY Your Style  Cap and Dist Brand..

NOTE***

***This style dist uses a Thin dust seal ( The older ones had a 1/8 thick point cover seal),  you have to use the new style flat thin cover with this IBT Dist type.  REMOVE ANY PLASTIC SEAL YOU HAVE BELOW THE ROTOR , DO NOT USE THE OLD PARTS...
