PATTY AT HOME

by Carolyn Wells

New York: Grosset & Dunlap Publishers, (1932).

Vintage reprint.

Originally published in 1904 by Grosset & Dunlap with different dust jacket art.

The second in a series featuring Patty Fairfield, finds Patty and her Father moving to Vernondale, where she furnishes and designs the house, and manages the household--including a new cook who calls herself Emancipation Proclamation.

Seventeen Patty series titles are listed to the rear panel of the silver-foil and color illustrated dust jacket.

Wells wrote 170 books, many of which were young adult series books, and numerous were highly acclaimed mysteries.

Minor scratch to outer upper page edges, else very good plus in waxed blue linen with deep-blue embossed titles to the front cover and to the spine, red-and-cream illustrated end-papers; in a very good dust jacket with some tiny surface nicks to the front spine fold, a few mild shelf-edge crimps, rubs, and tiny tears, and a half-inch tear to the lower edge of the rear panel.

Still quite presentable.

Octavo; 293 pages; 6 pages of ads to the rear.
