[Tank killer with a reversal idea] In 1942, the British Army began developing a self-propelled gun archer equipped with a 17-pound gun, which has performance comparable to the German 8.8 cm gun. It was decided to modify the existing vehicle as a bridge until the full-scale anti-tank vehicle was deployed, and finally the Valentine infantry tank was selected. In order to mount a long gun on a small body, Valentine's body is extended and used upside down. The front half of the body was used as a battle room, and the gun was mounted backwards. With high-speed armor-piercing shells, you can penetrate armor plates with a thickness of 192 mm at a distance of about 900 m, and you can destroy all German tanks from a long distance. Production began in April 1944 and deployed to anti-tank battalions of armored divisions and infantry divisions. It was first launched in October of the same year and played a major role as a trump card against German tanks.
