Not permitted in the German StVZO zone! This HPI (universal) ignition was designed to save weight. The flywheel is only 320 gr. light and has an external circumference of only 71.5 mm. These values ​​guarantee a high potential for extra performance, as the engine has less permanent mass to put in motion. It must be said however that such a light ignition setup provides the engine with a very aggressive throttle response. The 60W power coils are perfectly adequate for powering front and rear lighting, as well as charging a battery if included. This ignition features two pre-programmed ignition curves that can be adjusted with the use of the plug connector or a separately available switching device. Both are adjusted 25 degrees every 1000 rpm by 2.5 degrees. They differ with the adjustment of the delay compared to the initial value of the number of revolutions. The HPI ignition does not have locating grooves for a woodruff key, but remains simple to install with full English instructions included. The plug connections are of high quality and durable. Conclusion: An ideal ignition system for road and race use and an excellent price-performance ratio! SIP-TIP: This flywheel requires a 27x1mm removal tool (#BU5250) with a left-hand thread.
