Olympus OM2n .
Original Olympus body cap .
Original instruction manual .
Original Olympus tin that some om cameras where sold in .

This is a wonderful example of the Olympus Om-2n . I have owned the camera around a year and probably only used it once or twice . The rest of the time it has been safely stored away .
It gives wonderful results and is simple and easy to use and in use feels excellent.
I originally brought the camera as being a Olympus user I wanted a om-2n in my collection as I regularly use an Olympus Om-1 .
I brought the camera from someone as I saw that they had not long paid for it to be fully serviced and had a full strip down and clean , adjust and lubricate professionally by Luton cameras who are a specialist in the Olympus om system , so I knew the work had been carried out correctly and the camera would be spot in . The  seller included the original receipt stating all work that had been carried out  so I knew it would be working perfectly for years to come . I could not resist it at the time and it still works as perfectly as the day I brought it . I’ve included an image of receipt showing all the work that carried out . I’ll include it in the sale as well

Why I’ve hardly used it is because my old faithful om-1 is my go to camera . For me it just does everything I want for now.
The om-2 on paper is a better camera with manual mode and aperture priority and a better of the film plain meter system and it has the same beautiful, big , bright viewfinder . I guess I thought that because I’m a film shooter it will always be there for future use . But I feel it’s time that someone else got pleasure from it than just being put away for possible use in the future incase my om-1’s give out in me .

The camera is good to very good cosmetic condition . The only fault is a tiny chip off the plastic housing around the battery check light on the back of the camera that can be seen in the images provided . But honestly it’s a small thing and with the camera being so mechanically sound not really anything to worry about .
The camera leathers are in very good condition , they are black in colour , not slightly grey as it’s trick of the light in the images provided . There are some little marks and light scratches to the black paintwork on the base plate and a tiny loss of the paint to the area where you put in the tab of a film box ti remind you what film you are using . Apart form that the , the camera is all good . Please see the images provided as they are part of the description.

The light meter inside the viewfinder is fully functional and working and accurate. The needle indicator moves up and down when responding to light . The scale readings will swap across from the different scales when either manual or auto mode is selected .

All dials and levers work perfectly and smoothly.

The shutter speed dial is nice and smooth and clicks positively into place .

The film advance lever is lovely and smooth and positive.

The film rewind lever works correctly and pulls up smoothly to allow the rear door to pop open nicely .

The mode and on off switch clicks positively into place and when it is set in the battery check mode the little red light will lite up to show the state of the batteries.

The compensation and asa setting dial work as it should and clicks into place easily with a satisfying click .

The self timer is working .

This being the MD model , it allows the fitting of a motor drive . The motor drive cap that is often missing is present and intact .

The battery compartment is clean and has no signs of corrosion and the battery cap is present . I have fitted new batteries so the camera is all ready for use .

If you require to use a flash the camera requires the Removable hot shoe 4 . The camera when I brought it had one fitted , but I took it off as these are fragile and the old plastic if then often cracks . I’ve hunted high and low for it , but I cannot find it amongst my photography equipment. But in the past I have tested a Olympus flash on the camera and it works perfectly. If you hunt eBay I’m sure you can buy a hot shoe4 as they often come up for sale

The shutter counter works correctly.

The film compartment is lovely and clean and the light seals are in very good condition.

The camera instruction booklet is in good condition.

The Olympus tin box is in good condition.

The camera will be very carefully boxed and Dispatched with Royal Mail 48 signed for . Postage is included in the price .
