Olive green and beautifully spotted purple is one of the rarer small/medium species.
A handsome tough and hardy species of small epiphytic Neoregelia that grows to about 20-30cm wide.

The stiff upright leaves are a bright deep green with purple spot markings. 
New plants are formed on long stolons and it soon develops into a very nice clump.

Produces vibrant deep blue flowers in succession over a period of months in the central rosette.
One of the finest small spotted Neoregelia's.

Healthy offset specimen plants. Suitable for mounting or hanging display 

It is generally advised to keep them in moderate to filtered bright light. Mix dark humus and crushed pine bark and a little loam and peat moss for a porous and slightly acid medium. Keep soil somewhat dry, water once or twice each week, keeping the rosette topped up, mist leaves if practical, they demand little care and easily adapt to most garden conditions, greenhouse or conservatory making outstanding displays when grouped.

(Note: Bromeliads are mainly supplied as pups, ramets, as divided from mother plants, they sometimes have some roots, not always, this is normal, roots form fast on planting)
