Description:

Heavy duty Locking hardware kit for military ammunition boxes. 

Converts standard ammunition boxes into lockable, secure storage tins for a variety of storage uses. 

Suitable for 50 Cal, Fat 50 Cal, 30 Cal, 40mm and 20mm Boxes. 

The kit contents ensures that waterproof integrity of the box is still retained by the Heavy-duty rubber/stainless steel sealing washers which are included in the kit. 

Will work with most medium size padlocks as large as 1/4" shackle. 

Full kit includes:

·       A solid 303 stainless steel stud (L:41mm/ 27mm body)

·       One piece rubber water seal washer (19mm diameter)

·       Stainless Steel sealing washer (17mm diameter -8mm hole)

·       Zinc plated Nylon locking nut

·       Large Stainless-Steel washer (40mm diameter- 14mm hole) 3mm thickness approx.

Buyer Note: Self Installation and Fitting required.

You will also need a power drill and suitable metal drill bit, a file for deburring, and suitable spanner / socket wrench.

To install, you simply drill a hole and screw the stud in to place.

Basic Fitting guide:

1. With the lid and latch closed on the ammo box, mark the center of where you will drill the hole for the stud.

2. Start with a small pilot hole, then enlarge with a 5/16" / 8mm drill bit.

3. Deburr the hole with metal file, then sandpaper.

4. Insert the stud from outside of the box.

5. Place the neoprene washer over the threads from inside the box, then the small steel washer and finally the locking nut.

The large steel washer is usually not needed, as it would fit over the stud before adding a padlock, to allow for smaller padlocks.
