From the Certificate Of Authenticity:
"The 5th BEATLE LIMITED EDITION PORTRAIT is herewith issued in the year of our Lord, two-thousand and five. It is a masterpiece for the ages, by renowned American Artist Shane Stover and is produced by noted American Publisher Jim Gardner Productions Communications. This edition commemorates the 3rd Anniversary of "The Press Conference Broadcast Around The World" and "The Maxwell Interview", conducted on July 2, 2002, with The 5th Beatle PETE BEST, in the small Northern California farming community of Maxwell, to launch Best' first-ever U.S.A. Concert Tour with The PETE BEST BAND.
This digitally scanned, offset printed color portrait of the EARLY BEATLES, pays homage to a group of young lads from Liverpool, England in the 1960s who parlayed their formative experiences as a musical group on the road to becoming THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD, before or since.
The 5th BEATLE pays tribute to the trials and tribulations of the legendary original drummer - and puts into focus, and fact - his contributions to the band, and his rightful numerical place to which he came into the band, and to put to rest forever, the manipulative dalliances with the truth that some would have us believe. Ringo was not the 4th Beatle; he was the 6th of Six. Yes, there were only Six Beatles in the History of Rock n' Rolls top band. Only three of them are still with us . . .
This historically significant portrait of an era, a time now generations ago, honors the bandmates, but especially one man's life, PETER BEST; THE DRUMMER. The 5th BEATLE. The portrait is personally signed by PETE BEST, alongside the inscription in stone he helped make famous; "THEIR NAME LIVETH FOREVERMORE", from a monument in Hamburg, Germany.
This testament to those by-gone years is also signed by Artist Shane Stover, who has faithfully captured in paint, the very essence of those early years. The haircuts, leather jackets, the looks of innocence and youth - and Stu Sutcliff's sunglasses. This portrait memorializes the struggles that come with achieving genuine greatness, and the five of them did; JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE, STUART, and PETE BEST.
While John Fitzgerald Kennedy was making history delivering the Berlin speech in Germany with those immortal words he spoke; "Ich Bin Ein Berliner", (I am a Berliner). The BEATLES were there, in Hamburg achieving stardom in hundreds of concerts in 1960, 1961, and 1962. In those years, between the tour of Germany, The Cavern Club, The Decca Sessions, and the weekend gigs at The Casbah Coffee Club in Liverpool, the birthplace of The BEATLES, PETE BEST alongside his contemporaries made music that inspired their native England, and finally the World - in every year since . . .
