Numerous illustrations, figures and small maps within text. Contents sound and clean, no pen-marks, just a few lines of text underlined in pencil. Note: also bound in is a 3 page article by Henry Balfour reprinted from the June 1926 edition of 'Man': Ceremonial Fire-making in the Naga Hills. Also note: the front title-page shows a slip pasted in stating this book was from the author: "With the compliments of Henry Balfour, Langley Lodge, Headington Hill, Oxford." Thus a scarce work in decent condition with an interesting provenance.
