PreSonus ATOM SQ
The ATOM SQ is a complete, fun, performance, and production controller and software package ideal for EDM, hip-hop, and pop productions. It includes Studio One Artist and Ableton Live Lite, so no additional software is required. Its staggered 32-pad configuration makes it suitable for playing like a traditional musical keyboard, programming like a TR-style sequencer with Studio One’s Pattern Editor, or creating beats in real-time. The pads support polyphonic expression and sport RGB lights for color coordination, and the contextsensitive LCD screen displays vital information relating to the task at hand. The Assignable multifunction touch strip allows for expressive control of nearly any musical parameter.
Just like the included Studio One, ATOM SQ provides essential beat-driven creation tools while staying out of your way; create music hands-on with minimal menu dives and configuration. Deep integration with Studio One’s Pattern editor makes beat creation nearly effortless—create new variations on the fly and change between them without missing a beat. Eight endless rotary encoders can be assigned to control nearly any software parameter from filter cutoff to MIDI velocity. You also get custom-curated content libraries specially-designed for ATOM SQ owners. Ableton users will be able to launch clips and scenes, navigate their session, solo/mute/arm tracks, edit device parameters, navigate clips and scenes, and more—you can even control the crossfader using the touch strip!
