This is a new release from the songwriter producer of Cult artist Eleanor Rigby. He was also in influential bands Ministry of Ska and Box Office Poison and produced the popular FLR cult themes albums.

This album takes you on a journey through 12 different landscapes of sonic & lyrical story telling, all unique from each other but all with that filmic, Pop Noir atmosphere and a catchy pop hook. From the seductive and sensual ‘Come With Me’ complete with Ennio Morricone style trumpets, to the hypnotic and punky, dark paranoia of ‘Psychic Holiday’ to ‘Dark Horse’ where Russell’s’ infamous punk cello really comes to the fore. A bleak landscape of evocative sounds and lyrics paint a picture of what might be if people don’t get their environmental act together on ‘Don’t Shut your mouth’, then a big boss groove and sexy lyrics introduce you to ‘Sexual Girl’. The album wouldn’t be complete without a few songs with strong messages, and ‘Numbers’ really hits the spot. The album continues with the catchy pop song ‘I Want You All The Time’ but dig deeper and not all is what it seems. The heart rending ‘Too Sad To Cry’ follows and then it’s time to purchase your ‘One Way Ticket To The Moon’. This Bowie/Jim Morrison style vocal and musical outing takes you on a journey of a girl in every port. ‘How Do You Sleep?’ is a film noir story complete with a jazz fuelled backdrop. ‘Agent M’ could be a film theme as it conjures up the flavour of Tokyo before tuning into a chaotic spy thriller. The album concludes with ‘Tonight I need a Klone’, a throwback to the cold war spy in atmosphere but reflecting the times we live in.
