This is an antique silver plated lamp base only that has a cherub holding a tree stump. Or it is a cherub incorporated into the tree.
It is loaded.. as in the base is weighted.
It has a white plastic PUSH button at the front on top of the circular base to turn the lamp on and off... it is NOT wired.... so it will need a competent electrician to re-wire it.
I would say if renovated it will look well in any period property.
No maker's marks from what I can see.
It is in collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. No damage from what I can see.
It measures approx. 9 inches tall and approx. 4 and 3/4 inches in diameter on the base....it weighs approx...1.5kilos.
