These individual fish knives are place pieces that came in two sizes. This grouping is the larger size; Gorham also made them about an inch shorter and half an ounce lighter. These knives are 8 1/8" long and weigh 56 to 58 grams each.
Each knife has the chrysanthemum design stamped on the front, and a less exuberant version of that design on the knife's back.
The front has a triple monogram in the cartouche, perhaps JHB; the back has the Gorham hallmark and sterling stamped on each blade.
