Our plastic moving bed filter media is ideal for larger filtration applications such as pond filters, where a large amount of biological filter media is required.

This quality filter media is perfect for all fluidised moving static bed pond and aquarium filters and provides a very large active surface area for bacteria to colonise, more than other types of static media. It is this process which removes harmful ammonia and nitrite from the water.

Unlike filter foam, matting, or other forms of static filtration media, this media is designed to move freely within your filter. The constant chaotic movement of the air from your pump, causes the media to self-clean and thus requires no maintenance. This allows the filter to reach optimum effectiveness without the disturbance of periodic cleaning, avoiding unnecessary loss of bacteria within the filter. 

We have this media available in 3 sizes – K1 Micro Size (9mm x 6mm), K1 Size (10mm x 7mm), and K3 Size (25mm x 12mm). We also sell different volumes of this media. Please select the required amount from the drop-down menu when ordering.
