This sale is for a complete vintage Violet Big Muff Kit, with selected Allen Bradley, Morganite (British Allen Bradley) and Piher resistors, Mustard 100nF capacitor for the first stage (add great mojo to the tone) 8 EVOX MMK 100nf capacitors (like seen in some '70 Big Muff) and selected ceramic transistors for the tone stack. Follows 4 BC239C selected for HFE over 450
CONSIDER that the resistors are 11 X 4mm, so they won't fit in one of that little board made for 1/4W resistors and 5mm lead spacing capacitors, you need a larger board to use this kit
As in ALL the kits I sell, the Allen Bradley resistors
are individually tested for tolerance (think that EH used almost all 10%
resistors)
All the resistors are 5% unless stated, and where are at
10%, is why in that point there is no need to better tolerance, ALL the 10%
resistors, anyway, are matched between them at 5% (I.E. the 470K are all between 490 and 510K)
I've tried to recreate the same resistor kit of the unit which Kit Rae says is the more close to the Gilmour sound, using a Piher 33K as input resistors, and other 2 Piher in the tone control section, I've add 2 other Piher (10K, 100K) in the first section to make the unit less noisy
