The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends Vinyl -  DOUBLE LP SET + CD

Album CD included

As one album reviewer put it, The Flaming Lips have never backed away from a good collaboration (2009's The Flaming Lips Doing Dark Side Of The Moon). This new album is 13 songs by the Flaming Lips in conjunction with a Who's Who list of some of the best-known names in contemporary, pop and alt-rock. Some strange pairings? Naturally. Who wouldn't scratch their heads at the prospect of The Flaming Lips and Ke$ha? Or The Flaming Lips and Erykah Badu?

"...the Lips brought a lot of these hard to find team-ups, as well as a host of new collaborations, to the masses with the 2012 release of The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends. Originally released for Record Store Day 2012, the spaced-out compilation has allowed people the opportunity to experience previously hard-to-own tracks such as 'Is David Bowie Dying,' 'Supermoon Made Me Want to Pee,' and 'I'm Working at NASA on Acid?,' which feature Neon Indian, Prefuse 73, and Lightning Bolt, respectively. The compilation also finds the Lips working with a host of guests that runs from the expected (Tame Impala, Plastic Ono Band) to the downright strange (Biz Markie, Ke$ha). The high point of the album is the cover of the iconic 'First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,' which finds the band working with Erykah Badu to transform the song into a haunting and glacial, 10-minute shoegaze epic. The stunning cover is the most beautiful and cohesive on what is an otherwise (understandably) uneven collection." — All Music Guide

The Flaming Lips Transmissions From The Satellite Heart LP

"With Transmissions From the Satellite Heart, the Flaming Lips join the ranks of rock & roll's most endearing eccentrics." - Rolling Stone

Transmissions from the Satellite Heart is The Flaming Lips' sixth album, released in 1993. Its fourth track, "She Don't Use Jelly", is notable for being The Flaming Lips' first charting radio hit, after its video was featured on the MTV show Beavis and Butt-Head, nearly a year after the album's release.

"Turn It On" was also a moderately-successful single, and also had two different music videos, one of which was shot at a laundrymat. The album marked the departure of Jonathan Donahue (to Mercury Rev) and Nathan Roberts, and the addition of guitarist Ronald Jones and drummer Steven Drozd.

Features:
• Vinyl LP

The Flaming Lips Imagene Peise - Atlas Eets Christmas limited edition LP

The Flaming Lips Sing Winter Wonderland!!

Atlas Eets Christmas was previously released in a very limited physical quantity on CD only under the pseudonym Imagene Peise (with a sticker that read "Love Is The Answer - Merry Christmas From The Flaming Lips 2007"). The pseudonym Imagene Peise is a John Lennon-esque spelling of "Imagine Peace," ala Lennon’s wonsaponatime, and likewise the album title sounds-out "At last, it's Christmas." The alias credits are similarly punning: Imagene Peise - Piano Ominog Bangh - Laughing/Crying Glider Synthesizer Shineyu Bhupal - Drones, Sitar, and Baritone Tambura

Melodically, their sound contains lush, multi-layered, psychedelic rock arrangements, but lyrically their compositions show elements of space rock, including unusual song and album titles—such as "Psychiatric Explorations of the Fetus with Needles", "Free Radicals (A Hallucination of the Christmas Skeleton Pleading with a Suicide Bomber)" and "Yeah, I Know It's a Drag... But Wastin' Pigs Is Still Radical". They are also acclaimed for their elaborate live shows, which feature costumes, balloons, puppets, video projections, complex stage light configurations, giant hands, large amounts of confetti, and frontman Wayne Coyne's signature man-sized plastic bubble, in which he traverses the audience.

Features:
• Vinyl LP

Selections:
Side A

1. Winter Wonderland
2. Silver Bells
3. Christmas Laughing Waltz (including Jingle Bells)
4. Silent Night
5. Atlas Eets Christmas
Side B
1. Do You Hear What I Hear?
2. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
3. White Christmas (Binson Echorec Sleigh Ride)
4. Frosty The Snowman
5. Christmas Kindness Song

6. The Christmas Song
