Mitsubishi Outlander 4N14 Balance Shaft Removal Kit.

Does your 4N14 engine have wear in the balance shaft system causing a loud rattle at idle and whilst driving?

The coupling and the surrounding shafts will have worn down causing the noise you are hearing and if left will then cause the issue you see in the first picture when the geared shaft strips it’s teeth and potentially smashes it’s housing.

Dealer parts will cost in excess of £2400 plus fitting.

The kit has been developed to enable removal of the balance shaft system whilst blocking the oil ways properly to retain the original oil pressure as the next item that would suffer if you do not contain the oil properly would be the Turbo.

2010 - 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.2 DID 4N14

2013 - 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.2 DID 4N14

2012 - 2018 Mitsubishi Delica 2.2 DID 4N14

2013 - 2018 Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DID 4N14

The balance shaft system was no longer fitted to these engines in late 2018 as the issues caused were known.

We have sold plenty of the kits and all of the customers have said their engine sounds like new again and love the fact that they now no longer have to worry about failure of the system causing further damage and they can drive their Outlander without the irritating rattle constantly.

The kit contains :

1 Machined to fit tolerance oil way block for the geared Shaft removal.

1 oil way block for the main balance pack.

High quality high strength retaining compound to lock both oil way blocks in place.

High quality sump sealer to re seal the sump after fitting.

A FULL FITTING GUIDE in a Haynes style so that you could complete this yourself if you are mechanically minded or to pass on to your local garage if you would prefer they do the job.

This will save you in excess of £2500 and potentially more should yours fail and cause internal damage of components within the engine.
