Elegant & Rare Antique signed "Karpen" Parlor Tapestry Chairs c. 1890s.  (Shipping will be by Freight and buyer will only pay actual shipping costs estimated between $750 to $1100).......... I have never seen a more remarkable and beautiful set of parlor chairs in my life, I normally only sell jewelry but I made an exception with these chairs, they are both signed "Karpen" with the original metal tags and each chair also has its original sales tag on the bottom from Chicago, Illinois. They are Tastefully done in a needlepoint tapestry depicting a pictorial romantic scene of a Victorian man and woman with a elegant flowing floral and foliage designs throughout in a soft sage green and cream color, they are remarkable, then the structures of the chairs are done in very solid hand carved art nouveau mahogany beautifully executed with all of its original patina throughout, I can't stress enough how beautiful the wood is on these chairs, it glows with 130 years of sheer brilliance and the tapestry blends so nice with the wood. Then all of that gives way to its original cast iron wheels on each foot that Glide with ease.  Of course it is a matching set, I believe for him and her, one has armrests and the other one does not, the they have never been altered in any way, they are in all original  Antique condition.  There is only very minor fraying on the forward most tips os the armrests on the one chair,  other than that they're in absolutely excellent and above-average antique condition, they have not been cleaned, they are amazing. I spent a lot of time on the phone with UPS trying to figure out the shipping cost to best benefit the buyer, if you live close to our zip code depending on where you live, the shipping cost will be anywhere from $750 to $1,100  you will only pay actual shipping. I doubt I will ever see another pair as nice as these. They are high-quality rare and beautiful.
