The Gnome Family - Call it a gnome, elf or leprechaun... but a Smurf? 

The Gnome Family series by Empire Toys came out with adorable little folks 

that are Smurf look-a-likes! The Empire elves certainly do resemble Smurfs

 but rest assured they are not real Smurfs - they are imitations! 

All Gnome Family figures are marked with the emblem of an "E" with a crown above it. 

Each little gnome will also have "EMPIRE (c) 1978" marked on the bottom of one foot 

and "Made in Hong Kong" with a heart above it stamped on the other foot. 

The gnomes come in a variety of colors too - 

orange skin, yellow skin, green skin, beige skin, and brown skin. 

The Gnome Family figures were released in the 1970s.
