This is one of a number of original bookplates from 18thC - 20thC that I am listing today.
Most have coat of arms, heraldic, livery, armorial, or peerage family crests on with initials of specific family members or aristocrats.

Some are attached to stiff card as I got them in a collection. Some may be common and others "rare as hen's teeth" and some may never have been seen before.

This one has the initials S&B in a large font with a rope intertwined which has a HAND on each end of it between them underneath an Earl's coronet.

In collectable condition with no rips or tears. It has been stuck in an old album so there are faint glue lines on the back.

It is a bit mucky.

It measures approx. 104mm x 74mm.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.
