Rare antique pair Swiss Alps Chalet chairs with superb marquetry inlay and ornate carved walnut structure.
The superb carved backs in one solid piece of walnut with heraldic shield centres of ebonized panel and fruitwood inlay with black forrest scenery.
Made for show rather than use these gorgeous hall chairs were never upholstered but depict the Chalet lifestyle with the Alps in spring and summer.
These chairs were no doubt intend to impress guests with their superb quality.

Abandoned goods may be disposed of by the seller in whatever manner is chosen. We are sorry to have to note this clause in our listing but are no longer able to store items indefinitely and for free.
