This Tiffany tazza, or footed cake or centerpiece stand is 4.5" tall and 9.25" in diameter. It weighs 768 grams or almost 25 troy ounces.  It has a gallery around it's top rim of 3/4" and a gently sloped bowl towards it's center.

The outside edge of the gallery is decorated by a band of double lines framing a repeating band of a circle within a circle; the interior of the gallery is decorated by a repeating band of flowers and leaves.  The sloped interior base of the stand has beautiful raised decoration combining floral, leaf and architectural elements.  The  plain center of the bowl, where it could be monogrammed, and the top of this decoration, are framed by three parallel engraved lines.  The outside of the tazza is plain all the way down to two simple parallel lines which circle the base above the bottom rim.

The stand is marked on the bottom:  Tiffany & Co; 18615B Makers 8709; sterling silver; 925-1000; m.  This is the Tiffany marking for the directorship of John C Moore II, 1907-47.  I think this piece looks circa 1915.
