I have one of these. I saw it pop up on eBay a couple months ago and I couldn’t find anything about it anywhere.

I was offered a discount and decided to take a chance.

When I first received it and opened the box, I was thinking I had been scammed! It is super light for its size and felt plasticity! The blade is mirror polished but seems chrome plated compared to the Rock stead ChiI own.

It does have fast, smooth blade action though.

One day, feeling that it wasn’t what it was claimed to be, I was outside moving at rail camera and needed to trim away some branches. I used it to chop away branches up to 3 inches thick! The blade, which is super sharp, sliced right through them without a single hiccup! I just wiped off the blade after words and went on with life. No chips on the edge and it didn’t dull one bit!

So, maybe it is the quality of knife they say it is, and the steel, is S125V!

I am carrying both of my USA-Market knives today; I love these things! I do wish I could find more information about them though! What is their reputation in Russia? Are they considered something like Benchmade or Zero Tolerance here in America or are they thought of as high-end knives? Either way I am happy with them, and they are holding up great.

"CPM S125V (Crucible) - Developed in 2004. Few years later was discontinued, but then reappeared. Few custom makers in US (Phil Wilson,Farid)and in Italy (Fantoni) use it. CPM S125V has Extremely high wear resistance. As far as I know, it was originally developed for dental industry, however sinceS125V was too difficult to machine didn't really take off. Edge holding and corrosion resistance are very high. As far as knives are concerned, it works superbly well. Releveling can be a problem if one doesn't have proper sharpening equipment and skills. Diamonds and Japanese whet stones work fine though. Not a good choice for novices in sharpening. Edge holding is very high. Due to very high carbide volume and size of the carbides, it works better with coarse edges, around 400-1000 range works best in my experience."-ZKNIVES.COM
