Photographs from the ORIGINAL 35MM SLIDE Portfolio by World Traveled Photographer Eileen King (1916 - 2007 Born in London, England, Ms. King, a WW II ambulance nurse became a world traveler, photographing people, cities, nature, flowers and wildlife in over 60 countries for over 60 years. She had a passion for macro photography, photographing flowers and insects world wide. All with mostly here Nikon F camera and she was still photographing up to 2006.

Her photography won her international, national and regional awards, including the Marie Selby Botanical Photography Award for the state of Florida. Her work has been published in National Geographic magazine and others.
She chose to settle in St. Augustine in 1990 because of its natural beauty. She quotes "Here, I can drive for 10 minutes and be surrounded by natural beauty," she always said. While here, she chose to concentrate her photography on the wildlife and wildflowers of St. Johns County and most recognized her by the ever-present floppy safari hat and camera. Her photographs of endangered St. Johns County wildflowers hang in the Bartram Trail Library and the County Annex of Northwest St. Johns County.
