30-year-old vintage THE SIMPSONS Poster signed by Matt Groening (1991 Framed 19 X 25.5)

Although I can offer no concrete authentication for the autograph, a true SIMPSONS/Matt Groening fan will recognize this less used version of his autograph. A brief Google search will also identify this style of Matt Groening's autograph.  Mr. Groening used his more familiar style to additionally sign as "Bart Simpson" (see pictures).

This autographed poster - dated February 13, 1991 - was rescued from a soon to be remodeled local FOX Network affiliate station art dept. office in 2001.  The employees of the TV station neglected to frame or properly care for the poster before it was discovered and nearly discarded.  Consequently, the poster shows some wrinkling.  Additionally, the poster colors have faded over the past 30 years from sunlight exposure.  While I am confident this is an authentic Matt Groening autograph from 1991, I can offer no evidence other than circumstantial based on the information provided above.  By purchasing this item, the buyer agrees to accept the poster as is.  The buyer also agrees that he/she understands and assumes authenticity can only be based on individual research and opinion.
