The Viet Cong Tet Offensive 1968

Book published c.1968, 490 pages. Paperback - c.20cm by 26.5cm (A47N3)

*** please note, book is in very poor condition ***

This book was translated from the Vietnamese by the American J5/JGS Translation board, and was a RVNAF publication (the South Vietnamese air force during the Vietnam war). Illustrated throughout with several black and white photographs, it was clearly designed as a piece of anti communist propoganda - in the introduction General Cao Van Vien writes about the 'inhuman character' of communists, their 'savage deeds', and how they enslave their people.

The condition of the book is very poor, but is fine as a reading copy or reference for study. The covers are very grubby, tatty and torn, with lots of tears, creases and blemishes. Some of the tears have been repaired with tape, and an area is missing around the top of the outside spine. The covers and first and last inside pages are completely detached from the main body of the book, and there is considerable foxing and staining to the inside covers and those two pages. The main body of the book is all intact and bound, although there is some wear around the two staples that make up the binding. There is foxing to the outside page leaves and some inside pages, and creasing to some page corners where those corners have been folded over.

When we post our books, we take great care in packaging them - first your book will be wrapped in bubblewrap, which protects the book and even keeps out any rain (in the event that it's raining when the postie delivers it!). Then we wrap your book in stiff cardboard, taking care to make sure all the corners are protected, and finally the package is wrapped in thick brown paper.
