Wer Besitzer einer Lefty ist kennt das Problem, vor allem wenn die Schalt- und Bremszüge verschmutzt sind, fräsen sie sich mit der Zeit förmlich in die Lefty - egal ob es sich um die Carbon oder die Aluminiumversion handelt.
Wir waren selbst genervt, die Lefty mit irgendwelchen Folien zu verunstalten. Zum einen sieht das nicht schön aus, zum anderen hält das nicht lange.
Deshalb haben wir - auch in Zusammenarbeit mit führenden Cannondale Händlern - den Cable Guy entwickelt.
Die Grundplatte wird mit dem hochwertigen, extrem starken (dennoch bei Bedarf rückstandslos entfernbaren) Klebestreifen von 3M an die Gabel geklebt, danach werden die Züge richtig positioniert (möglichst spannungsfrei) und der Deckel aufgeclipst, das war es auch schon. Kein Werkzeug, keine unschönen Gummiringe und keine Demontage der Züge erforderlich.
Es ist lediglich darauf zu achten dass die Klebestelle sauber und fettfrei ist (wir empfehlen Aceton zur Reinigung - gibt es für kleines Geld in jeder Apotheke) und der Cable Guy so an der Lefty positioniert wird, dass die Züge nicht zu stark unter Spannung stehen und ordentlich ausgerichtet sind. Er ist für bis zu 3 Züge ausgelegt.
Durch die zweiteilige Konstruktion sind leichte Montage, unauffälliges Design und zuverlässige Funktion gewährleistet. Und das alles bei gerade einmal 3,5g inklusive Klebestreifen.

Every owner of a Lefty knows the problem, especially when the shift and brake cables are dirty, they drill themselves with time formally in the Lefty - whether it is the carbon or aluminum version.
We were annoyed about defacing the beautiful Lefty with any adhesive films and tapes. For one, does this not look nice, on the other hand does not hold the long.
We have therefore - also in collaboration with leading Cannondale dealers - developed the Cable Guy.
The base plate is stuck with the high quality, extremely strong ( yet completely removable) tape from 3M on the Lefty, then the cables correctly positioned ( free of stresses ) and the cover clipped on it, that 's it. No tools, no unsightly rubber rings and no disassembly of cables required.
It is only necessary to ensure that the area is clean and free of grease (we recommend acetone for cleaning - available for little money at any pharmacy) and the Cable Guy is positioned on the Lefty, that the cables are not too strong in tension and are properly aligned. It is designed for up to 3 cables.
The two-part construction ensures easy installation, low profile design and reliable operation. And all that with just 3.5 g including adhesive strip.
