1ed Life of Jesuit Saint Francis de Borgia Society Jesus Ignatius
Bartoli
Saint Francis Borgia was a 16th-century
Spanish Jesuit priest who is often
considered the most influential Jesuit following the founder, Saint Ignatius of
Loyola. He led a humble and quiet life noted for his prayer and
supplication, even though he held important roles of the ever-expanding Jesuit
order. A century after Borgia’s life, Jesuit author Daniello Bartoli published
a biographical sketch of Borgia.
A rare 1681 edition on one of the most
influential Jesuit leaders.
