This is an item from an important Military related archive of personal research material from the Ronald G. Harris collection. Harris was a respected military historian and author of a number of books including "50 Years of Yeomanry Uniforms, The Irish Regiments, Bengal Cavalry Regiments" from Southsea, Hampshire. He had a massive collection of research material and I will never be able to tell you EXACTLY what is in each large group as there is too much including news paper cuttings, prints, snippets, real photographs, copy photos, notes, manuscript notes and drawings, water colours and other information complied into either books or folders.
Each collection varies and this old research archive collection will be as interesting now as it was back then. The R.G. Harris Collection and other archive material has been bought from various auction houses down the years by D.P. & G Military Publishing of Doncaster in South Yorkshire and used in their various books, as well as their own extensive archive material of stock photographs, real photograph postcards, prints etc. The list is endless. Very interesting to military regiment collectors. These people were collecting items like this because there was NO Google, it is so much easier for us these days. A lot of time and energy has been put into these folders of archive material. Some items are UNIQUE and may never be seen again.
