On offer is an undated (1434-1446) Fermo, Italy - AR (silver) Bolognino coin of Francesco Sforza.

This coin is graded AU (Almost Uncirculated) 55 by NGC. It is approximately 17mm in diameter.

The coin was minted at Fermo in the Italian region of the Marche, which the Renaissance condottiere Francesco Sforza conquered in 1434 on behalf of Milan. He then switched sides and received control of the region from Pope Eugene IV. Later, in 1446, he went back over to the Milanese side, gaining command of Milan's armies but losing control of the towns of the Marche, including Fermo.
