Santuario de Chimayo Mission Church


This piece was inspired by the Historic and very famous New Mexico Mission founded in 1814. It is believed that this particular Mission is located on Holy Ground. Every year hundreds of people make a Pilgrimage to the church on Good Friday. Many believe the soil, beneath a small original alter, has healing properties.

This piece features an original design by our in house Artist Dona.

The back of the piece lists the Name and Location of the church, Date of Construction, and date of the Rendering as it was. It is Made of Terracotta ceramic clay with blue and white glaze accents. It measures approximately 4 x 3 inches and hangs from a polytwine loop.
