Description

This is a Reichert/AO Countertop Non-contact II Tonometer. I don’t much about it but it looks to be in good condition and I believe it is either working or can be made to work. Although the power cord is missing, when I used a shop power cord and I plug it in and turn it on the screen displays the centering circle. We could not get the air puff function to work. No other testing has been performed. The optics look good when I look through the eyepiece. I am selling this instrument for parts or repair. Someone should get a great deal.

Non-contact tonometers are widely used to measure the internal eye pressure, i.e. the IntraOcular Pressure (IOP), which is an important parameter for the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. During the measurement, the eye is deformed by a short air pulse.

Condition & Testing

I know next to nothing about this type of instrument, so I am selling it for parts and repair only. Cosmetically it looks to be in good condition without any visible damage. We could not get the air puff function to work. The switches still click when pushed and all the adjusting knobs are moving freely. The power cord is missing however, when we used a shop power cord for testing, all the lights are working as is the digital display, and when you look into it the centering circle is visible. The optics look very clear when I look through the eyepiece. The finish on the instrument is good. Take a good look at the pictures, as they can tell you more than I can.
