This is made from vitreous enamel fused onto sheet steel.  Heavy gauge - unlike modern versions this one can't be bent easily.  Very durable.  Made in 1930s.

Numerals in bas relief - excellent definition.

 3½" wide.

Oval numbers are uncommon in France.

This is the real thing.  Not a copy, not made yesterday.

Please see my listings on eBay UK if you are looking for a different number in the same style.

Around four thousand house numbers in stock at the last count - large, small, old, high, low, enamel, cast metal, bell metal, convex, flat, Danish, French, Australian, Japanese, German,Belgian, UK.  Please let me know if this is not the number or style you require. But I have few numbers higher than #600.

All numbers accurately described - I do not try and mislead customers by applying euphemisms such as "authentic" or "traditional" or "original" or "vintage" or "style" to pass off cheap repro items as the real thing.
