The 2 glass wells are very heavy and in great condition, no chips or scratches. Lids over ink wells flip open. 

There is a spot in the back to hold letters or paper. 

The gold is wearing off in spots, especially the front. It was listed as "gold gilt" in the estate sale but I obviously can't verify that.
