Electrician's specialty tool to easily and

that are rusted or stripped-out.

QUANTITY꞉ ONE high-quality, factory-new Woods 3-in-1 tap.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to their popularity, we only have a few of these remaining in our inventory (so consider buying several?).

ABOUT THE WOODS THREE-IN-ONE TAP꞉ A high-grade hardened steel thread tap to "re-cut" threads in most electrical boxes.  The tap is "tiered" starting out with 6-32 threads at the tip, then stepping-up to 8-32 threads in the middle and finally, stepping up to 10-24 threads on the opposite end.

PURPOSE OF THE THREE-IN-ONE TAP꞉ This 3-in-1 tap is an extremely popular tool with electricians.  This tool (when inserted into an adjustable tap handle) allows electricians to easily and quickly cut new threads / clean threads - - as well as step-up the screw's size in rusted or stripped-out electrical boxes.  If you do not have an adjustable tap handle or T-handle tap wrench, you can grip the tap's end with a pair of Vise-Grips / locking pliers for torque.  In addition, you can use the tool in a battery-operated drill on low-torque.  You may wish to apply a small drop of oil to the tap's threads to prolong the life of the tap and facilitate thread cutting (you will need to clean-up any oil and metal shavings after cutting threads).  One of the features electricians like most about this tool, is it allows the electrician to quickly "open up" the size of the threads if the original thread size will no longer work (and without having to keep three different sized taps on hand).

WARNING, ELECTROCUTION HAZARD꞉ When using this tool, be sure that all circuits in the enclosure are de-energized.  This tool has a semi-pointed tip and is designed to cut threads.  Inasmuch, it can easily cut into insulation / wiring while being used.
