The sugar paste N ° 4 Extra Strong has a particularly dense consistency, ideal for use in a warm environment (28 ° -30 °) and in all cases in which the three softer versions (N ° 1, 2 and 3) should be excessively fluid and not very workable.

Very solid consistency which makes it an ideal product for high summer temperatures and particularly hot areas of the body.

If stored in an excessively hot environment, we recommend thickening it in the refrigerator before use.

If it is used at a colder room temperature, it requires several minutes of preparation: it must be heated, softened and stirred manually.

BACKGROUND:

The sugaring, that is, epilation with sugar paste or Arabic wax it is a very ancient practice, traditionally used in Middle Eastern and Indian countries.

The ancients Egyptians they used to mix oils and honey to remove body hair for religious purposes.

For the Greeks it was a common practice among athletes to identify their social status.

In the'Roman Empire, the slaves of the East introduced new methods and new recipes that soon became of daily use.

Sugar paste hair removal is a natural and manual hair removal method, without chemical additives: only sugar, water and lemon.

The sugar is known for its antibacterial properties, the lemon being a cicatrizant, it helps to close the hair bulb preventing folliculitis during sun exposure.

The formulation of the paste as a whole helps to remove dead cells and make the skin soft.

EPIKOA ™ was born with the aim of perfecting the ancient sugaring recipes and making hair removal with sugar paste extremely effective, easy and pleasant.

EPIKOA ™ was conceived as a professional, multi-density, skin-friendly, environmentally friendly hair removal system.

Strictly Made in Italy.

HOW DO YOU USE EPIKOA ™ SUGAR PASTE?

Before treatment, thoroughly cleanse the skin with Aloe Vera EPIKOA ™ pre-epilation lotion. The skin must be rigorously free from sebum, sweat and residues of products previously used in order to favor the adhesive action of the sugar paste.

Bring the pasta to body temperature. If necessary, heat it for a few seconds in the microwave or a few minutes using a wax heater or bain-marie.

Using nitrile or vinyl gloves, take a small amount of product and soften the paste between your fingers to make it elastic and malleable. The use of gloves is essential because the heat and sweating of the hands could affect the correct consistency of the paste, which is water-soluble by its nature.

Form a ball and spread it vigorously with your fingers in the opposite direction to the growth of the hair.

Keeping the skin taut, remove the paste with your hands with short and repeated firm tugs in the direction of natural hair growth.

Reuse the same ball several times until it loses elasticity or becomes excessively full of hair.

At the end of the epilation, remove the residues with water.

Moisturize and soothe the skin using Aloe Vera EPIKOA ™ post epilation milk.

THE 4 VERSIONS OF EPIKOA ™ SUGAR PASTE

CHOOSE THE IDEAL ONE

EPIKOA ™ is a professional hair removal system multi-density.

Sugar paste is very sensitive to heat. EPIKOA ™ was therefore formulated in four different consistencies with increasing density with the aim of satisfying any epilation need and making the formulation perfectly effective at any ambient temperature and in every season of the year:

N ° 1 ULTRA SOFT: 19 ° -21 ° C (or large areas to epilate with spatula and strips)

N ° 2 SOFT: 22 ° -24 ° C

N ° 3 STRONG: 25 ° -27 ° C

N ° 4 EXTRA STORNG: 28-30 ° C

FREQUENT QUESTIONS:

Q What version to use? How do I choose between the four available versions of EPIKOA sugar paste?

R Evaluate the temperature of the environment in which EPIKOA sugar paste will be used. If the room is cold you will need a fluid and soft paste (eg: N ° 2 SOFT). On the contrary, if the hair removal treatment is done in a particularly hot place, it is necessary to use a more dense and solid version (eg: N ° 4 EXTRA STRONG). Check our comparison table for the recommended version based on the ambient temperature.

Also consider the area of the body to be treated: we recommend softer densities for cold areas, such as legs and arms, and firmer densities for areas where the skin is warmer such as groin and armpits.

Finally, evaluate your degree of experience and familiarity. For the first uses we recommend denser pastes as the more fluid versions require greater dexterity and practice.

Q Is EPIKOA sugar paste used with your hands or with a spatula and strips?

R Sugaring is a typically manual hair removal technique. EPIKOA sugar paste should be softened between the fingers, spread with the hands and removed with special hand and wrist movements (always wearing disposable gloves). However, it is possible to perform a sugar paste hair removal treatment using the same tools as traditional hot waxing: spatula and strips. In particular, version N.1 ULTRA SOFT EPIKOA has a very fluid consistency that can be easily spread on the skin with an EPIKOA spatula and can be removed with strips of non-woven fabric. Convenient, for example, to epilate the most extended areas of the body in a short time (legs, back, arms). Even with a spatula and strips, the peculiarity of sugaring remains valid: the paste is spread against the grain and tears following the direction of growth of the hair.

Q Can I use EPIKOA sugar paste without gloves?

R When adopting the sugaring technique with manual application, it is essential to use nitrile or vinyl gloves (no latex) both for greater hygiene and cleanliness but above all not to heat the dough with the heat of the hands or affect its consistency with sweating. Remember, sugar paste is inherently water-soluble and dissolves in water.

Q Why is the paste too liquid and does not adhere to the hair?

R If the paste appears to be excessively liquid between your fingers, you may have made one of these three mistakes: (1) it is possible that you are using a version of EPIKOA paste that is not suitable for the temperature of the environment in which you are carrying out the treatment (ex: version N ° 1 ULTRA SOFT used in summer in a room at 27 °); (2) it is possible that you are using a version of EPIKOA paste that is not suitable for the area of the body to be treated (eg: for hot areas of the body such as groin and armpits, we recommend a thicker paste such as N ° 3 STRONG); (3) it is possible that you have heated the pasta too much, bringing it to an excessively fluid state. Remember that EPIKOA sugar paste is applied at body temperature (about 36 °). Usually it is sufficient to work it between the fingers until it is elastic and malleable, ready to be spread on the skin. Only in certain environmental conditions is it necessary to use a microwave or oven to heat it adequately (eg: very dense version N ° 4 EXTRA STRONG used in a cold environment).

Q How can I roll out the dough correctly?

R The correct technique consists in gently spreading the EPIKOA sugar paste in such a way as to create a uniform layer of product, which completely envelops the hairs to be treated.

Keeping your fingers tight and aligned with each other (simulating a spatula), proceed to spread the paste with your fingers perpendicular to the area to be treated. Avoid spreading the paste by pressing it on the skin with the palm of your hand or fingertips to avoid crushing the hair.

Remember that the sugar paste is applied exactly the opposite of the method with which you are used to using traditional hot wax: always spread the sugar paste against the grain.

Q What technique should I use to tear the dough effectively?

R EPIKOA sugar paste can be removed following the natural growth direction of the hair. As highlighted in the previous faq, forget the technique that has always been used with traditional hot waxing. Sugar paste epilation is done exactly the other way around: spread against the grain and tears in the direction of hair growth.

For effective removal, it is important (1) to make the sugar paste adhere well to the fingers, (2) to start tearing from the final point of spreading the paste, and (3) to proceed with repeated, dry and firm movements of the wrist and hand in order to trap the hairs.

Finally, do not linger too long during removal to prevent the paste from adhering excessively to the hair and not to hold the paste between your fingers for too long, risking melting it or making it sticky.

Practice these tricks to acquire dexterity and confidence with the sugaring technique. You will see that epilation will gradually become easier, faster and more satisfying!

Q Can I use EPIKOA sugar paste on particularly sensitive or allergic skin?

R EPIKOA sugar paste is 100% natural, delicate, hypoallergenic, it is applied at body temperature and removed in the same way as the hair grows.

These distinctive features make it suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive or allergic ones, for both men and women.

They are the region for which, compared to traditional hot wax, it can also be applied in the presence of dermatological problems (psoriasis, eczema, fragile capillaries, varicose veins) and in pregnancy.

Q What are the areas that I cannot epilate with EPIKOA sugar paste?

R It can be used without any contraindications on any part of the body, including the private parts and the face.

Obviously, parts with wounds and / or injuries in general should be avoided.

Q How can I remove the paste after hair removal?

R When applied with the correct technique, EPIKOA sugar paste leaves no residue on the body. In any case, it can be cleaned quickly with simple lukewarm water or with a damp towel. No oily solvents are required.

Q How can I store EPIKOA sugar paste and for how long?

R After each use, be sure to screw the lid onto the jar correctly and always apply the supplied under cap. These precautions prevent the product from absorbing atmospheric humidity which could alter its effectiveness and quality.

The jar must be stored in a cool and dry place; there is no expiration date thanks to the natural preservative action of the sugar present in the formulation.
