Wow! Check out this rare original vintage LET'S GET ASSOCIATED water decal from CALIFORNIA dating back to the mid to late 1930s.
Produced exclusively by ANSON W. THOMPSON CO and distributed by ANGELUS TRANSFERS, these football shaped decals were created for many Western colleges and junior colleges (and even high schools), and given out at games as advertising promotions (this one was most likely a promo for the old Tidewater Oil Company (later Tydol) Associated Oil Co.)
Very colorful and in excellent condition for its age and rarity, it has just a few small creases, some corner bending and edgewear, and a few marks on the background card to mar its perfection. It measures 4 1/8" x 2 7/8".
This is a fantastic and rare piece of early Americana that's a "must-have" for any collection.
