Mimosa trees provide colorful shows for months, while giving yards an elegant and tropical feel. Each spring green leaves emerge that come together in a V shape and the multiple short leaves provide the Zen of an Asian garden.

The mimosa is a very ornamental evergreen shrub or small tree that we appreciate for its winter flowering, in yellow and fragrant glomeruli, like acacia dealbata, commonly called winter mimosa. Mimosa is one of the most beautiful winter-flowering shrubs, renowned for its exceptional bright gold yellow flowering. Brilliantly fragrant & Brilliant yellow spring flowers out shine the feathery foliage on this highly drought tolerant tree. Mature trees have been known to grow more than 25 feet tall, but can be easily trimmed to maintain a shorter stature for smaller yards. Grows well in Zones 5-10 Outdoors. If potted, just bring inside during the winter.

Mimosa Energetics
It calms disturbed shen (anxiety, insomnia, bad dreams) and is an incredibly effective mood elevator. Mimosa is also used for irritability, depression, mood swings, poor memory, and excessive anger.

Golden Mimosa Germination:

1) Roughly sand the hard shells.

2) Bring water to a simmer, (Not a boil), and pour into a container placing the seeds in. 

3) Allow the seeds to cool with the water, and soak for 24 to 36 hrs.

4) Use a heated propagator to keep soil temperature at appx 77 F. Sow appx. 1/8" deep in well drained soil and keep moist for optimal germination.

4) Germination can be expected within 3 to 4 weeks.
