Is tanzanite a good investment?
The tanzanite is one of the rarest gemstones on earth, and its rarity is the reason why it makes a great investment. Regarding its rarity, the tanzanite is only found in one part of the world – Northern Tanzania. It has a mining area in a rather small part of the country, specifically in an area of 6,000 square kilometers.
Why is tanzanite rare than diamond?
Tanzanite’s only source is a 4km strip of land near Mount Kilimanjaro making it a thousand times more rarethandiamonds. Tanzanite is trichroic, meaning that in its rough form, it radiates three different colors from each of its crystallographic axes: blue, violet and red.
