1 of a number of really fabulous antique world COINS & MEDAL impressions which some date from the Medieval - 19th Century period. These are brown hard resin like material which by the look of them the medals and coins have simply been pushed into the resin whilst soft to create what you see here now. They are REVERSE impressions and may be of interest to some of you for a number of reasons. If you are into jewellery making for instance you could " cast " your own items from these resin mouldings. Very interesting lot and well collected today as they were in the Georgian - Victorian period by the aristocracy whilst on their Grand Tours.

All this collection have my #MS prefix.

This is a reverse impression of an antique medal that depicts a Roman soldier sheathing a very long sword. There is some wording at the bottom but I can't make it out to identify this medal further.
Please note: I have added a reversed photograph to show what the medal would really look like.

Please see pictures provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition.

It measures 52mm in total diameter and approx. 9mm deep.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.

If you see A/F = a/f in the title or description it means "as found" condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage.
