Florida Bee Line Expressway route marker.

Up for sale today is this Bee Line Expressway state route sign. Made to the exact 1967 state standard, as used between then and the early 1980s along this famous road. the road is now known as the Beachline Expressway, but for many years it was named after everyone's favorite pollinating creature as it was a straight shot east - a bee line, as it were - from Orlando to the beach.

An original of these would cost many hundreds of dollars if it ever came to the market. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, for just a fraction of the price.

This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 12 pounds, 4 ounces, and is the correct size for the four-lane road: 20 by 24 inches. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!

I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
