Du Barry Faux Pearls 

I believe no one ever wore this lovely string of pearls, it still has the original tag attached. 

Tag reads: AN ORIGINAL Du Barry Fifth Avenue N.Y.,on both sides. 

The satin liner has a few yellow spots due to age.

 The strand is made of oh-so-slightly taupe colored pearls--not the usual white. 

String is about 16" long. 

Sterling silver filagree clasp.
